Our experience at Who is white's White Fest: Transforming the world of weddings with a vision for the future
This year we had the pleasure of participating in the White Fest, an event that, as its name suggests, revolves around white. But not just any white. We are talking about white as a symbol of light, optimism and creativity, that which serves as the basis for creating something completely new.
What will weddings of the future look like?
In my talk, I shared some key insights into how weddings are changing and where we think they are heading:
The impact of the younger generation: Young couples want weddings that are authentic, sustainable and full of meaning. For example, ready-to-wear dresses are gaining ground over bespoke designs, driven by the immediacy of social media and influencers. This does not mean the end of personalisation, but an evolution towards experiences that connect more directly with couples and their values.
Sustainability as standard: The future is green, and at La Puta Suegra we have already reduced our use of plastics by 75%, while optimising our logistics to minimise our environmental impact. Sustainability is not just a trend; it is a necessity for any supplier that wants to stay relevant.
Humans, humanoids and artificial intelligence: I also talked about how humanoids and artificial intelligence (AI) will transform the bridal sector:
AI for extreme customisation: Clients will be able to design entire weddings in virtual simulators, adjusting colours, styles and details in real time.
Humanoids as attendants and caterers: From robots coordinating events to chefs-humanoids creating perfect menus, technology will radically change the logistics and execution of weddings.
Better emotional connection: Although technology will advance, the goal will always be to enhance emotions and create unforgettable experiences.
The bridal sector, a blank canvas
As I said during my talk:
‘We are a blank canvas ready to be painted with strokes full of energy, colour and innovation.’
The future demands that we question every tradition, every step of the process, to find more creative, sustainable and exciting ways to stand out. Weddings of the future will not be as we know them today, but immersive experiences where technology and humanity work together to create unique moments.
I can't close this post without thanking the White Fest team and all the attendees. It was a unique experience, full of inspiration and learning. These spaces are vital to keep dreaming big and transforming our sector.
