A Dream Wedding in the Portuguese Algarve: The Union of Arabella and Stephen

On February 16, 2020, La Puta Suegra had the honor of organizing an unforgettable wedding in the stunning Portuguese Algarve. Arabella Maza and Stephen Maginn, a couple committed to each other and the environment, made their 150 guests feel at home from the very first moment.

Stephen, Irish, and Arabella, Venezuelan, are two architects passionate about design who met while working together in London. They now run their own architecture and design firm, Archive for Space. Stephen's proposal to Arabella was as unique as their relationship: under the pretext of showing her a plot for a project, Stephen took her to a gazebo he had designed and built in a forest in Ireland, decorated with Arabella's favorite flowers and a campfire.

Both shared with us that their creativity and love for exploring new ideas were the great sources of inspiration for their wedding. They wanted every detail, from the catering to the music and decoration, to reflect their personality as a couple. Therefore, they asked their guests to choose a primary color to decorate the wedding venue, a white house that was filled with personal touches.

La Puta Suegra was responsible for bringing the table and dance floor plans and models, designed by the couple themselves, to life. Music, another crucial element, reflected the places that define the couple: bossa nova mixed with English garage during the cocktail, an Irish band called Teada for the dinner, and a reggaeton and salsa band that made everyone get up from their seats during the party.

Faithful to their commitment to the environment, Arabella and Stephen opted for electronic invitations designed in collaboration with Acuarela Duck, creating a personal and sustainable "Save the Date."

Arabella's wedding dress was undoubtedly one of the most remarkable aspects of the wedding. Designed by Castellar Granados, the midi dress with a floral print and ruffles, combined with an XL coat with puffed sleeves and an XL floral headpiece, captured everyone's attention. “It had to be her, I adore her,” Arabella confessed about the designer who materialized her dreams.

Every detail of this wedding, from the music to the decoration and the wedding dress, contributed to making this celebration a true party from beginning to end. At La Puta Suegra, we feel privileged to have been part of this special day and to have helped Arabella and Stephen make their dream wedding a reality.
