The LAT Wedding Congress was held in Acapulco with the presence of 300 professionals from 12 different Latin American countries.

 

Authorities from the Ministry of Tourism and Culture (STyC), through the Morelos Tourism Trust (Fitur), represented Morelos at the eleventh edition of the LAT Wedding Congress, held in the port of Acapulco with the participation of 300 experts in the wedding and romance tourism segment from countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Guatemala, Paraguay, Uruguay, Brazil, Spain, as well as the Top 10 Wedding Planners from Mexico.

The most exclusive Wedding Planners were present from August 23 to 26 at Princess Mundo Imperial, where the 11th edition of the LAT Wedding Congress took place, featuring specialists, workshops, and the latest trends in outdoor weddings.

With great success and no incidents, thanks to the protection and prevention protocols applied for COVID prevention, the 11th Edition of the LAT Wedding Congress 2021 concluded at Princess Mundo Imperial located in Riviera Diamante Acapulco.

Experts from the Wedding Tourism industry shared their insights, adapting to the new normality of today, inspiring the customization of national and international ceremonies according to new needs.

Thanks to the ample facilities of the host hotel, Princess Mundo Imperial, educational sessions were held in beautiful outdoor settings and large halls with impressive production values. The inauguration was attended by secretaries and officials representing the governments of Guerrero, Guanajuato, Sonora, Chiapas, Morelos, Puebla, and Veracruz.

Throughout the event, attendees were treated to a dinner at the Zibu restaurant, led by chef Eduardo Palazuelos; there was also a visit to the Banyan Tree Cabo Marqués resort, renowned for its incredible settings for such occasions, as well as a Yacht ride courtesy of Grupo Mundo Imperial, providing direct access to the best spaces for participants to explore the attractions, services, and benefits of the destination for organizing romance programs.

IADWP (International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals), along with Eduardo Barroso, a consultant with over 40 years of experience from EB Turismo, announced the launch of the Wedding Tourism Specialist, a distinctive quality seal that professionals can use to distinguish themselves and offer added value in the competitive market.

Mirta Sánchez, Alpha Leader and now the new Director of Education and Value at IADWP, commented: "A successful congress despite all the challenges faced by the superb IADWP team, who were always attentive to every detail... "

To end on a high note, the Princess Mundo Imperial hotel was adorned with color and inspiration for the closing ceremony, providing an elegant evening full of Acapulco-style flavor for all attendees.

As promised, from August 26 to 28, a trip to Ixtapa Zihuatanejo was organized to further explore the area and enjoy one last gift for the participants of this grand event.

The Government of Guerrero, through the Ministry of Tourism and the Acapulco Tourism Promotion Trust, along with Grupo Mundo Imperial, designed and organized high-quality services to offer the best care to guests and visitors who attended the Riviera Diamante Acapulco to experience the LAT Wedding Congress.
